Confidence & self-esteem support in St Helens

Confidence problems often show up in what you stop doing, what you tolerate and the opportunities you talk yourself out of before you begin.

When confidence has been knocked

Confidence is not just about “thinking positively”

You may know you are capable and still feel nervous speaking up, meeting new people, setting boundaries, dating, applying for opportunities, presenting, going back to work or doing something you once found easy.

Sometimes confidence is linked to a specific event. Sometimes it develops through repeated criticism, comparison, rejection or an internal habit of predicting failure.

The work focuses on the particular situations where confidence drops and the internal pattern that comes with them.

Common patterns include:

  • Second-guessing decisions.
  • Fear of judgement or rejection.
  • People-pleasing and difficulty saying no.
  • Negative internal dialogue.
  • Comparing yourself with others.
  • Avoiding opportunities despite wanting them.
How we may work with confidence

Change the response, not just the pep talk

Find the trigger

We identify where confidence changes, what you expect to happen and the beliefs or memories that become active in those moments.

Challenge the old pattern

We may use reframing, belief work, anchoring, NLP, EFT/Tapping or coaching to develop a more useful response.

Make confidence behavioural

The goal is not only to feel better internally, but to help you do more of what matters — speak, act, decide, set boundaries or take opportunities differently.

What people often want back

More freedom to be themselves

Confidence work can be about speaking up at work, going out socially, meeting people, making decisions without constant reassurance, setting boundaries, taking on responsibility, or no longer letting one past experience dictate what you think you can do now.

Explore support by what you are experiencing

Start with the problem, not the method

You do not need to know whether NLP, EFT, coaching or another approach is right for you. Start with what is happening and what you want to change.

Questions people often ask

Frequently asked questions

Is low confidence something NLP can work with?

NLP and coaching can be used to explore beliefs, internal representations and learned responses associated with confidence. Results vary and the work is tailored to the specific situations you want to change.

Can you help with confidence at work as well as personally?

Yes. Confidence issues can show up in work, relationships, social situations, presentations, boundaries and decision-making. The consultation helps identify the real-life outcomes that matter most.

Do I need a long programme?

Not necessarily. Some issues are focused and may suit a single Change Session; deeper or more interconnected patterns may need a different format or follow-up support.

Start with a conversation

You do not need to know the solution or the best way forward.

Tell me what is happening, how it is affecting you and what you would like to be different. The Free Change Consultation is a 15–30 minute conversation where I can understand what you are dealing with, answer your questions and advise you on the most appropriate next step.

Sessions are primarily online across the UK. Face-to-face sessions may also be available where appropriate.
